Crown Tundra: Legendary Pokémon from Dynamax Adventures
The Crown Tundra DLC introduced Dynamax Adventures, a roguelike mode where you explore Max Lairs and catch one of 48 different Legendary Pokémon at the end. Each Dynamax Adventure run lets you choose from a random selection of rental Pokémon, battle through 4 Dynamax Pokémon dens, and face a Legendary at the end. You can catch each Legendary only once per save file.

Some highlights from the Dynamax Adventures pool include: Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, and Necrozma. The full pool covers nearly every Legendary Pokémon from Generations 1 through 7, making Dynamax Adventures the single best Legendary hunting experience in any Pokémon game.
Tips for Catching Legendaries in Dynamax Adventures
Bring a high-level Pokémon with a super-effective type against the target Legendary to your first Dynamax Adventure attempt. You can only see the target Legendary when you reach the end, so prepare for anything. Wide-type coverage moves are excellent for rental Pokémon. If you faint, you are given a new rental Pokémon — use this to your advantage by picking Pokémon that counter the types you encounter.
